　　5月28日，湖南湘潭市追逃办通报：外逃长达8年的王荃在广西桂林被抓捕归案。王荃，男，出生于1965年10月，湘潭日报社党组原副书记、总编辑，正处级，因犯受贿罪于2010年1月被判处有期徒刑十年六个月，剥夺政治权利一年，并处没收财产十万元。在暂予监外执行期间去向不明，2011年12月被网上追逃。经查，王荃近年来先后逃往安徽、云南、广东、贵州、广西等地，使用化名，东躲西藏，过着提心吊胆的日子，惶惶不可终日。
